The Avian Science Center (ASC) at the University of Montana advances bird and natural resource conservation through interdisciplinary research, education, and community engagement. As a hub for innovation and training, ASC prepares the next generation of conservation professionals to tackle pressing environmental challenges by combining rigorous science with real-world application. Through partnerships at local, national, and international levels, the Center studies birds as vital indicators of ecosystem health and uses that knowledge to inform conservation decisions that support biodiversity, ecosystem resilience, and human well-being.
