The Department of Counseling at the University of Montana fosters a supportive and intellectually engaging environment that promotes both academic and personal growth. We prepare students to become competent, ethical, and reflective professional counselors who are equipped to serve diverse individuals and communities across school and mental health settings. Our program emphasizes professional advocacy, social justice, and respect for diversity, while encouraging collaboration and the integration of ideas to support holistic wellness and inclusive access for all.
