Organization profile
The Management Information Systems Department at the University of Montana equips students with the skills to harness information technology for strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. Rooted in a STEM-focused curriculum, the department prepares graduates to manage and analyze the flow of information across all areas of an organization—including finance, marketing, operations, accounting, and human resources. Students gain the technical and analytical expertise needed for careers as IT consultants, systems analysts, business analysts, programmers, database administrators, and more. With a strong foundation in systems application, team collaboration, and clear communication, our graduates are ready to lead in today’s data-driven world.
