Organization profile
The University of Montana School of Social Work offers dynamic Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs dedicated to empowering individuals, families, and communities while promoting social justice. Through hands-on learning and community engagement, the BSW program prepares students for entry-level social work roles across a variety of settings, from child welfare to healthcare and advocacy. The MSW program equips graduates to address complex social challenges in the Rocky Mountain West, fostering leadership in practice, policy, and advocacy. Supported by the Center for Children, Families, and Workforce Development, the School serves as a vital resource for research and professional education, advancing social work excellence throughout Montana and beyond.
