Research Interests

Catherine Off's research focuses on treatment intensity and rural outreach in the context of post-stroke aphasia rehabilitation, with a focus on both patient and family caregiver outcomes and graduate student clinician training.  Catherine’s team investigates principles of neuroplasticity as they relate to the rehabilitation of neurologic communication disorders stemming from stroke and traumatic brain injury in the context of the World Health Organization International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (WHO-ICF) model.
