Research Interests

Dr. Jane Salois (she/her) is an Assistant Professor and Co-Director of the VOICES Lab in the School of Speech, Language, Hearing, & Occupational Sciences at University of Montana. She has been a medical Speech-Language Pathologist since 2015 working in hospital inpatient and outpatient settings, and community and university clinics. Dr. Salois specializes in the assessment and treatment of voice, swallowing, and upper airway disorders and practices as an SLP at Rocky Mountain Ear, Nose, and Throat where she also provides clinical supervision to graduate students from the UM SLHOS program. She conducts research related to behavioral cough suppression therapy, an evidnece-based and highly efficacious treatment for refractory chronic cough. As a professor she is passionate about infusing her clinical expertise into the classroom environment and providing hands-on learning opportunities for students to hone their critical thinking skills.
