Dr. Jen Molloy's work focuses on implementing restorative justice in education, criminal legal, and community settings. This interest intersects with other topics including the science of human connection, community and organizational change, and program evaluation. Jen’s most recent community engaged scholarship has involved partnering with students and community members to explore what restorative justice (RJ) does and could look like in Missoula, MT. This outreach has included listening sessions with justice system and community stakeholders, monthly intro to RJ workshops, and preparation of a RJ course and facilitator training. Through raising awareness about approaches to building community and repairing harm, Jen hopes to support Missoula in envisioning what a community of care looks like and taking steps to build the community’s capacity to make this vision a reality. Her sabbatical research includes an extended learning experience in South Africa, exploring efforts aimed at promoting ongoing societal healing following the Truth and Reconciliation Commission process.
