Personal profile

Research Interests

Broadly, my research is at the crossroads of wildlife monitoring, software development, and conservation biology. I develop models that address common challenges associated with wildlife surveys, such as data sparsity and imperfect observation processes, to gain insights into population dynamics. I apply these models to estimate the abundance and density, distribution, behavior, space use, and movement of wildlife across the globe. I develop decision-support tools to facilitate the use of statistical ecology for wildlife management and conservation.
