The Endangered Species Project features an installation of over 1,100 burial urns, one created for each endangered, threatened, extinct, or recovered species in the continental United States listed under the Endangered Species Act. The urns are not made for use; they are displayed empty as a sign of hope. By creating an urn for each species, it is making species rarely seen, visible and through this awareness, compassionate action is possible.
