Abstract
The article presents a study on the placement of students with emotional and behavioral disorders (EBD) and other disabilities in alternative education programs in Oregon. The alternative education programs involved in the study are described, including the Train Education Center (TEC), the Creekside School and Career Center (CSCC) and Vision High School (HVS). The study found that each program served a diverse population of youth and that drug and alcohol abuse were addressed by all of the programs.
