Abstract

Micellar Electrokinetic Chromatography is useful technique for the separation of a variety of analytes. Because it is somewhat different in theory and application than conventional forms of chromatography, method development can present a challenge. A rational and systematic approach to method development is presented in this report, following the basic sequence of a tutorial presented at the recent International Symposium on Chromatography in Leipzig. This approach follows a flow chart scheme and recognition of common migration patterns to suggest the path to an optimum separation.
