A three-dimensional quantum study of high-order harmonic generation (HHG) of Na atom in intense mid-ir laser fields was presented. For the description of the Na atom, an accurate one-electron model potential was constructed. Time-dependent generalized pseudospectral method was used to solve, the time dependent Schrodinger equation from the lowest harmonics upto cutoff. Excellent agreement of the HHG spectrum in the length and acceleration was obtained.
