Abstract
This chapter provides background and context for teaching the relationship between nonprofit organizations and public policy, using the four facets of a nonprofit-policy framework and the Nonprofit Academic Centers Council’s five guidelines for Public Policy, Advocacy, and Social Change. It includes five mini case studies with discussion questions as well as activities that are suitable for take-home, in-class, or online assignments.
