Abstract

A study on the thickness dependence of magnetic blocking in granular thin films with interacting magnetic particles was presented. A dimensional constraint on the magnetic properties was found by analyzing theoretical models and comparing with experimental results. With inclusion of magnetization variation in the calculations, the interaction energy versus film thickness showed remarkable agreement with the variation of experimentally observed peak temperature derived from magnetic blocking curves.
